Here's what I've been writing lately...
Hi all and happy Friday!
I have been a big fat failure at keeping up with writing here because of a new (and very busy) job and because I have recently written for a couple different outlets. This installment of Sanzi Says is mostly just to share links to those pieces with all of you. Some of you (especially if you follow me on Twitter) may have already seen one or all but many of you likely will not have read either of them yet.
#1
Newsweek: This piece is about what I see as the coming bipartisan backlash to critical race and gender theory or “wokeness” in schools. It is clear to me that the backlash has already started and is comprised of people on the left and right but I predict it will begin to pick up steam as more people—especially parents—find the courage to stand up against it.
Note: I do not get to write the headlines for these pieces so if you have complaints about them, you’ll have to take it up with the manager.

#2
City Journal: This piece just went up today and it provides a disturbing look at what is happening in elementary classrooms from Missouri to Massachusetts. All the incidents I include have been confirmed and documented.

I write a monthly column in our local paper, The Valley Breeze, and I especially love my most recent one. To all of you who have kept getting up and going to work for the past 14 months, I wrote it for you.

The piles of dirty baseball pants and basketball uniforms is a sure sign that life is getting back to normal. It is also a sign that soon enough, the porta-potty will feel like my second home, as it has every spring for the past decade. THAT is how much I love my kids.
I am pretty positive that our flowering cherry and red bud trees are going to burst into bloom by weekend’s end — they will serve as reminders for me to slow down and cherish the sight before it’s gone.
Have a great weekend everybody!
Talk soon,
