Thank you. There is something toxic around here, but it ain’t masculinity, it’s modern feminism. I used to respect feminists, until they began preaching lunacy such as I and every male being a potential rapist and that men who are falsely accused of rape should shut up. And I find it hilarious these radicals are complaining about the “patriarchy”, as if children, especially young people of color need less fathers and men in their lives. Which is another trait of modern feminism, which ignores the plights of minorities and is nothing more than subtle racism. They’ll poo-poo Trump but rally behind an equally corrupt individual such as Hillary Clinton all because she has two X chromosomes. It’s about time people start talking about this nonsense that has infected our national discourse.

It is illegal to cut the genitals of a girl, but boys are subjected to it constantly.

Maybe the Russian President has started the return of male domination because they see what the extreme feminists are doing to western society especially to males , China could follow in Putins footsteps, , but realistically the balance needs to return , just treat all people fairly,

I realize I'm late to the conversation, having just recently become aware of Erika Sanzi's impressive efforts in the education arena. My hat is off to Erika - I hesitate to use the honorific 'Ms' due to its feminist roots. As a father to both a son and a daughter, now grown and with kids of their own, I can attest to the struggles my wife and I faced when confronting the increasingly destructive stereotypes to which our kids were exposed in the classroom. Everyone who understands the foundations or western society are under attack must stand up now, and fight.

You realize that "toxic masculinity" is different from "masculinity" right? That's why you have the adjective there. It is like saying "toxic cake" and "cake." One is cool, other is real bad.

"Men are 3.54 times more likely to die by suicide than women." That statistic is literally part of toxic masculinity. Boys frequently get taught that having emotions (like being sad), is a bad thing. That talking about emotions is "weak" and they just need to "be tough." Pretty easy to imagine how that translates to people having severe emotional disorders that lead to suicide.

But oh well. You won't read this and you will probably continue on, willfully misinterpreting people that are trying to make the world a slightly better place for everyone. Have fun.

No, people do not want to make the world a better place. Sure they may say that.

What they really want is:

- revenge for whatever historical wrongs they think must be avenged - via collective punishment.

- power

Thank you for writing this. I have 5 boys myself. I’ll never forget the day that one of my boys got suspended from the Boys and Girls club because when we was running away from a group of girls who constantly bullied him, he hid in the first room he came to. It happened to be the girl’s bathroom. The staff, who watched this happen, pulled him out immediately and had him on watch because he may be a “potential rapist.” Or that was the explanation they gave to me. He was 8 at the time.
